MotusAI Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MotusAI application and website (motusai.org). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

When you use MotusAI, we may collect the following:

  • Account information: Email address and hashed password, or Google account identifier if you use Google Sign-In.
  • Video data: Videos you upload for biomechanical analysis. Videos are stored securely on our servers and are accessible only by you.
  • Analysis data: Biomechanical metrics (spine angle, shoulder alignment, head stability, explosiveness), AI-generated coaching feedback, and chat messages generated during your sessions.
  • Payment information: If you purchase credits, payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, credit consumption, device type, and session duration for service improvement and analytics.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and browser/app user-agent string for delivering the appropriate user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide AI-powered sports video analysis and personalized coaching feedback.
  • Manage your account, credit balance, and daily free credit allocation.
  • Process transactions securely.
  • Improve our service, fix bugs, and develop new features.
  • Communicate important service updates or respond to support requests.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers with restricted access. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols. Uploaded videos and analysis results are associated with your account and are not accessible by other users.

While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may receive limited data:

  • Stripe — Secure payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google — OAuth authentication (optional). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and account identifier. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • AI Processing — Your video data is processed by our AI pipeline for pose estimation and biomechanical analysis. This processing is performed on our infrastructure and trusted compute providers. Video content is used solely for generating your analysis and is not used to train AI models.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may:

  • Delete individual analyses from your dashboard at any time. This permanently removes associated video files, pose data, metrics, and chat history.
  • Delete your entire account from your dashboard settings, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

After account deletion, your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

6. Children's Privacy

MotusAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (available via your dashboard).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using MotusAI, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions where we operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
